It’s no doubt the Birria hit the mainstream in 2022, but no one is quite bringing the traditional tastes of Jalisco and the Birria to the 570 like Goat on Main. Their goat taco is one of few menu items and it’s the only thing in my review today (takeout order). While the taco was drier than other Birrias I’ve had, it wasn’t as heavy and the goat was perfectly tender. I am always impressed when corn tortillas are used and these held up great under the weight of the meat. The cojita cheese was another welcomed change from the usual mozzarella you find locally. The broth was light, slightly salty, full bodied, and helped cut through that initial dryness.
Clean, contemporary bar/restaurant with reliably tasty food at modest prices. The cheesesteak was delicious, as were the General Tso chicken wings. Tom, the daytime bartender/server, is welcoming and attentive. We stop in now whenever we are downtown.
Stumbled upon this pub while looking for an open place to eat lunch on the 4th of July. The service was amazing, food was delicious - hot, fresh, high quality and large portions - and the prices were great! 4 for a cider or beer is hard to beat anyway. 10/10 recommend!
I’m Visiting from Jersey and stopped by , i read some of the reviews and decided to give it a try. I swear you won’t be disappointed! The food is simple yet packed with so much flavor . Our server who was the bartender was so nice and attentive. I would come here again and definitely would take the drive just to eat this again !
I would tell you how amazing the buffalo shrimp were but my wife kept slapping my hand and refused to share. I think that says it all! Pickle fries were great. And I really enjoyed the Goat tacos. Totally different then I would have expected and fantastic flavor. There boys built a wonderful place with a lot of class that's a lot of fun to hang out in!
Stopped by for a quick dinner on a Saturday evening. Not too crowded, the food was very good with affordable prices. Chicken/cheese steak was loaded with chicken and the nacho appetizer was also very tasty. I would go back again next time i pass through Stroudsburg.
The best service I have experienced for a while! Not too big of a menu, but it is a pub... so to be expected. Surprisingly good local beer. Nice atmosphere.
